an inconvenience and a problem.” —Robert Fulghumobert Fulghum
Throughout life, human beings encounter various adverse situations that can cloud their
thoughts and dull their spirits. Negative emotions like anger, disappointment, sadness, and
jealousy often take precedence, particularly in situations where negativity is unavoidable,
such as rejection. The impact of rejection on our emotional well-being is significant and
should not be underestimated.
Rejection is a universal experience. We have all faced rejection from fellow human beings
at some point. It can manifest in various forms, such as teasing, bullying, and ignoring.
Story Corner
Sonia was a bright girl who actively participated in all group discussions
and extracurricular activities in school. She had a unique talent
for excelling in science exhibitions through her innovative ideas.
When a science exhibition was held at her school, every student
was supposed to submit a unique scientific model. Sonia chose
to build a model of the human heart and
worked tirelessly for many days and
nights to complete it.
As the day of the exhibit arrived, Sonia’s
excitement and nerves were palpable. She was confident
that her project, the Human Heart model, would be a winner.
She eagerly awaited the announcement of her name, only to
be met with disappointment when it was not called. This
rejection left her feeling miserable.
