A. It is not always that we are the ones being rejected. A lot of times, we
also reject people. So, it is important for all of us to practice compassion

towards everyone and respect differences rather than reject someone.

This will be an individual activity. Every student will create a compassion mantra. Be
as creative as possible. One example is given here:

                Do not SQUISH others

S: Start or spread rumours about others

                Q: Quit supporting people

                U: Use mean words

                I: Ignore someone on purpose

                S: Say threatening things

                H: Humiliate others

After each student creates their own mantra, they will share them in class.

          B. This will be an individual activity. Each student will be provided with a

worksheet in which they will answer questions related to an incident
                where they rejected someone.

Think of a situation in the past where you rejected someone and answer the following

                questions:

                 1. What led to the situation?

                      _________________________________________________________

                 2. How did you interpret the situation?

                     _________________________________________________________

                      _________________________________________________________

                 3. How intense were your emotions (on a scale of 0-100)?

                     _________________________________________________________

                      _________________________________________________________

                                                                                                               41
