Ways to Increase Self-Esteem
A good way to increase self-esteem is to take responsibility for yourself. Never justify your
own shortcomings and never blame others. Believe firmly in your own abilities. Make sure
to have a goal in your life. Constantly strive for achieving that goal. Interaction with other
individuals with great honesty and character traits can help boost self-esteem. Patience is
one of the best ways to increase self-esteem. Doing good deeds without expecting money
or rewards from others will also increase your self-esteem.
Conclusion
You can see a lot of students standing at the highest peak of confidence during adolescence.
Teachers and the community hope that they will become future stars in arts, sports,
cultural, and professional fields. But with alcohol, drugs, misguided friends, and mental
disorders, many of these students become depressed halfway through their lives. At least
some of those who grow up with great self-confidence have to painfully watch as they
become victims of lost self-esteem. The reason for this decline is that high self-confidence
and high self-esteem are moving in opposite directions. Success in life comes to those who
have both high self-confidence and high self-esteem that go hand in hand.
Book Recommendation
‘You Are Special’ by Max Lucado
This book is about the Wemmicks—Pinocchio-like wooden dolls
who segregate themselves based on markings of dots and stars.
The story beautifully defines “special” as caring about your own
unique qualities and knowing that you matter instead of placing
value in the judgments of others.
