Apostrophe (’)
We use an apostrophe mark (’) with an s to show possession or ownership.
To show possession to a singular noun, we add an apostrophe (’) with an s.
For examples:
Jaya’s pencil—pencil of Jaya
Sahil’s book—book of Sahil
To show possession to a plural noun ending in an s, we add an apostrophe (’)
without an s.
For examples:
the girls’ college—the college of girls
the horses’ tails—the tails of horses
