Children, do you feel that you are overprotected by your parents? If so, it can hamper

your holistic growth and development. Overprotection never teaches you decision-
making skills and to live independently. Being overprotected you will never learn how

to overcome sadness, failure, pain, rejection, frustration, challenges, resentment, and
other negative emotions. Today, let us learn how we can be stronger in life through

              this story.

Once upon a time, there were two neighbours. One
of them was a retired teacher, Prof Anand and the

other was an insurance agent, Mr Veer. Both of them
had planted similar plants in their garden. Prof Anand

was giving only a small amount of water to his plants

and didn’t always give them his full attention, while
Mr Veer used to give a lot of water to his plants and
              looked after them very well.

Prof Anand’s plants were simple, but looked good. Mr Veer’s plants
were much fuller and greener. One night, there was heavy rain and

wind due to a minor storm. Next morning, both neighbours
came out to inspect the damage to their garden. Mr Veer saw

that his plants came off from the roots and were totally
destroyed. But Prof Anand’s plants were not damaged at

                                                  all and were standing firm.

Mr Veer was surprised to see that. He went up to
Prof Anand and asked, “We both grew the same plants

together, and I actually looked after my plants better
