                    I. Kinds of Nouns


                        I have a friend. Her name is Juhi. We belong to a group of friends. I value our friendship.
                         There are four kinds of nouns in these sentences. Let’s see them.

                        friend,  friends   —      common noun

                        Juhi              —       proper noun
                        group             —       collective noun
                        friendship        —       abstract noun

                       Understanding the examples given above, fill in the blanks with appropriate nouns.

                 II. Similes

                      When two things are compared using words such as ‘like’ or ‘as’, they are by called similes.
                     For examples:

                       •  You are as brave as a lion.
                       •  She runs like the wind.

                       •  How works like a robot.


                      Underline the similes in the following sentences.
