                   Warm-Up
                   Warm-Up
This lesson is a thoughtful attempt to understand that no matter on what position you are,
you should not be ashamed to help your juniors. George Washington, who, in spite of being
the commander-in-chief of the US army gave a helping hand to his soldiers to lift their heavy
load without thinking about his professional status.

Let’s read about the first President of USA, George Washington.
George Washington became the first President of the United States of America in 1789. But before
that, he was the commander-in-chief of the US army. Hardworking and sincere, he looked after his
          soldiers well.

One day, Washington was riding his horse through a town. He passed some soldiers busy at work.
They were unloading boxes and crates and carrying them to their barracks. A corporal (senior officer)
stood on one side, watching the soldiers at work.

The load that the soldiers were carrying was heavy. “They seem to have been working since morning,”
thought Washington because they looked tired and in need for rest. But the corporal didn’t seem to
notice that. He kept shouting instructions to them and telling them to work faster. Finally, there was
just one crate to be moved. It was the biggest and seemed to be the heaviest. Six soldiers positioned
themselves around the box and began lifting it.
