Warm-Up
Circle the things that can be blown away by strong wind.
It was a windy day. Kites of different colours dotted the blue sky. Tinku took his kite to
the top of a hill to fly it. He stood with the string of the kite in his hands and started
flying it. But, his kite couldn’t go very high because he did not have much string. The kite
tugged and tugged, but Tinku held it firmly. The wind blew strongly. The kite wanted
to fly very high but, Tinku held the string very tight. This made the kite very angry. It
looked at the other kites going higher and higher. “Let me go up, up, up and touch the
sky,” thought the kite. So, it tugged very hard and before Tinku could do anything the
string snapped!
