Critical thinking and creativity give students the opportunity to explore their own mind.
How students think is how they learn. Critical thinking and creativity give us an open

mind. The greatest problem solvers have a clear mind in critical thinking and creativity.
The greatest learners learn from images and putting all the pieces together. Critical and
creative thinking are both linked together which allows us to become effective learners.

          Story Corner

Once upon a time there was an old man who lived alone
in a distant village. He owned a field and a pond
next to his big house. One day he thought that

after his death the looters of the village might
take over his field. Therefore, it was better to
choose a wise and hardworking person to take

care of and own his property after him. Now
the question was who would do the needful.
Suddenly, an interesting idea came to his mind.

He invited the villagers to his place for dinner.
When all the villagers gathered at his house, he
announced that he would give all his property

to the man who would take the stars out of
          his pond.

After hearing the announcement, many people moved forward, but everyone said that

those stars in the water were only the reflection of the stars shining in the sky. How could
they be taken out? The old man kept smiling hearing such answers. But no one understood

the trick. Suddenly Danish came forward. He was the son of a poor farmer. He said that he
could fulfill the old man’s wish. Everyone made fun of Danish, but the old man encouraged

him. Danish asked the old man for a bucket and went down to the pond. Everyone thought
that Danish was a fool, so no one helped him. Finally, Danish took out all the water from
                                                                                                                5
