                 Let’s Learn Grammar

             I. Adverbs (Adverb of Manners)

A word that tells us more about a doing word (verb) is an adverb.

                Read the following sentences.

                1. He played merrily.

                2. The chicks were chirping hungrily.

In the above sentences merrily and hungrily tell us the way or manner in which the action
was done. So, they are Adverbs of Manners.

Fill in the blanks by adding ‘ly’ (adverbs of manner) to the highlighted words.
