A computer is an electronic machine. It works on the basis of IPO cycle and processes
input data to produce the desired output. It is made of different parts that help in
input, process, and output operations. These parts are called Hardware. But hardware

cannot do anything on its own. It needs instructions to perform actions. Software is the
set of instructions that make it work.

Hardware and software combined make a complete computer system. Without any
one of these, a computer cannot produce the desired results. Let us learn more about
these.

HARDWARE

Hardware refers to all the parts of a computer that can be seen or touched. These parts
help in providing input, processing, and displaying the output. Hardware can be of two

types:

Monitor
External Hardware
External hardware refers to parts of CPU

computer that connect to the computer
