Children, do you listen to your elders? If we are not listening to the advices
of our parents and teachers, there is a possibility we might get into trouble in

our life. Today, let us read the story ‘THE DOG IN THE WELL’ to understand
the importance of listening to others.

A mother dog and her puppies lived on a farm. On the farm, there was
a well. The mother dog always told her puppies never to go near or

play around the well.

One day, one of the puppies was overcome by

curiosity and wondered why they weren’t allowed
to go near the well. So, he decided to find it.

He went down to the well and climbed up the wall
to peek inside. In the well, he saw his reflection

in the water, but thought it was another dog.

The little puppy got angry when his reflection
was imitating him. He got irritated and started

fighting with it.

The little puppy jumped into the well,

and only then did he realise there was no other dog.
He began to bark and bark until the farmer came to rescue

him. The puppy had learned a lesson that day and apologised
to his mother. From then on, he obeyed his mother and elders.
