Relative Clause
Read the sentence given below.
Counsel Goel gave a fleeting glance at Prem Chopra, who was moving restlessly, in the
prosecution box.
In the above sentence ‘who was moving restlessly’ tells us about Prem Chopra. This is a relative
clause. A relative clause is a part of a sentence which tells us what kind of person or thing the
speaker means.
Relative clauses start with relative pronouns—who, that, which, whose, where, when, etc. They
are generally used to define or identify the nouns that precede them.
A. Choose the correct Relative Pronouns from the brackets to complete the following sentences.
