As a teenager, you, too, must have had an encounter with a situation when you were treated as
a child when you wanted to be treated as an adult and vice versa. Take help from one of these
situations and write a paragraph describing your feelings.

Some people visit your family.
• When you did not come out of your room to attend to the guests, you were reminded that you are
no more a child, and it’s your duty to look after the guests.

• When your parents and their friends were talking, you were asked to go inside and play with
other children.
• You wish to go to watch a movie with your friends, and you are told that you are too young to
go alone.

• When you asked your parents to take you out for a dinner, you were told to postpone it for
some other time as they are busy this week and you cry for going out.
