Most adjectives that depict a quality can also tell us the degree of that quality.
Read these sentences.
Amit is taller than Anil, but not as tall as Sumit.
Sumit is the tallest boy.
The word tall has been used in three different ways: tall, taller, and tallest
These are the positive, comparative and superlative degrees of the adjective tall.
Note : Some adjectives such as popular, beautiful, awful, famous, expensive, horrible, and tired
use more and most for comparative and superlative forms.
For example: Rina is more popular than Manisha, but Sushma is the most popular girl in class.
