You are Richa Goswami, a correspondent for ‘The Hindu’. Write a report for your newspaper
about a shop that caught fire. Four people were injured and property worth lakhs of rupees
had been gutted.

Compound Words
The word ‘highland’ is made of two words ‘high’ + ‘land’. Similarly ‘anywhere’ is made of ‘any’
+ ‘where’. Many words are formed by joining two words. They are called compound words.
