“See the clouds in the sky? They have covered the

sun,” said Mini.

Soon it started to rain.

The children ran into the house.

After a little while, the rain stopped, and
then they saw a wonderful sight.

“Look, a rainbow!” cried Mini pointing towards

the sky.

“So many beautiful colours!” said Bobby.

“Can you tell how many colours are there in the

rainbow?”
“One, two, three, four, five, six, seven,” Bobby counted. “There are seven

colours in the rainbow.”

“Let us see what are those seven colours,”

said Mini, “violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow,
orange and red.”

“It is so beautiful!” said Bobby. “Why can’t

we see it all the time?”

“We can see the rainbow only after it has
rained, when there is also a little sunlight,” said

Mini.

And they watched the rainbow in the sky till it
was gone.
