Comparing ourselves to others often make us feel like we are not good enough.
However, many of us are mistaken in this belief. The most damaging thing you can do
to yourself is to compare yourself to others, and it significantly affects your happiness
and overall well-being. Now let's read a story to understand this better.
Two sisters named Anushka and Anvita were always competing against each other.
Anushka excelled in everything, while Anvita constantly tried to match her abilities.
They loved playing badminton, but no matter how hard Anvita tried, Anushka always
came out on top.
They loved to draw sketches, but Anushka often received more praise than Anvita
for her work. This would upset Anvita, and most of the time,
Anushka teased her sister for always coming in second.
One day, during dinner, neither of the girls ate because
they were disagreeing on something. Their father noticed
that so he sat them down for a talk.
“Anushka and Anvita, you both are exceptional in your
way. Anvita, even if you think Anushka has talents that
may look better than yours, you surely must have
something that you think you are good at.”
“I believe I am very good at singing and playing the
piano,” Anvita said immediately.
“Oh yes, but I am not good at those things. Anvita, you
are better than me at that,” Anushka replied to Anvita.
