Parents are a form of God on this planet. To respect your parents is your duty. Your

parents are the only ones who will love you, always. From your childhood to this
very day, your parents give you all that you demand for. Every parent in the world

always supports his child, no matter what they are. At times when they seem to be
strict, they just want to protect us from possible harm. Aside from bringing you into

the world, parents sacrifice time, energy, and effort in order to make sure your needs

and wants are met. Now that they are taking care of you, it is your responsibility to
look after them when they are old. Now, let us see the attitude of John towards his
father through the story ‘Dinner with Father’.

One time, John took his father out to a restaurant for dinner. His father was very old
and weak. When they were eating his father dropped

food on his shirt and trousers. Others who
were there watched him in disgust while

John was calm.

After he finished eating, John who was

not at all embarrassed, quietly took him
to the washroom, wiped off the food,

removed the stains, combed his hair,
and fitted his spectacles firmly. When

they came out, the entire restaurant
was watching them in silence, not

able to grasp how someone could
embarrass themselves publicly like

that. John settled the bill and started
walking out with his father.
